an interesting realization.

i was thinking about the people i found attractive. i thought of something they all have in common.

(yeah, i watched brokeback mountain a few days ago)

so, have you noticed anything that these three beautiful people have in common?

no?

here's a hint.
the only one of my favourite people i can think of right now who does not fit here is the wonderful lee pace. here he is:
pretty goodlooking, yes?

but what if he looked like this?
OMGLOVE.

in conclusion: facial moles are teh sexy.

my new favourite: sunset rubdown- dragonslayer.

i believe in growing old with grace.
i believe she only loved my face.
i believe i acted like a child, making faces at acquired taste.

spencer krug.
god, i love that man.

seeing this band live is probably one of the top things on my list of things to do in my lifetime. things like this are why i hate living in this corner of the country.

in other news, the library gave my job away before i got to them. that's kind of sucky. but on the bright side, there's a job making yarn that seems fairly promising. except it's 20 minutes out of town. but making yarn? as a job? awesome.

what i'm listening to lately.

here are some things i'm liking lately. this edition: music.

handsome furs. i've loved them since their first album came out, but their new one, face control, came out a few weeks ago and is also fantastic. plague park, their first is also wonderful. of course, i love anything that any member of wolf parade touches. which brings me to my next album.

swan lake consists of spencer krug from wolf parade, carey mercer from frog eyes, and dan bejar from destroyer/new pornographers. their first album is one of my favourites ever, and their second just came out today. i've just downloaded it and gotten through two songs, and love it already. wow.

next, i'm on a musical kick.

cabaret. i freaking love liza minnelli. that is all.

wicked. i was so lucky as to see this on broadway a few weeks ago, after years of loving the music. and it was hands down the best and most emotional musical i've ever seen. i cried before the end of the first song. i was worried that the current cast would be disappointing because they weren't idina menzel and kristen chenoweth, but they were both just as great. galinda was a bit girly for my tastes, but elphaba was wonderful.
(that's me with nicole parker, who played elphaba. i'm cool.)

and last, but not least...

okay. bat boy the musical. it sounds ridiculous, but hear me out on this. my university put on a production of this musical last week, and i actually fell in love with it. it's awesome in a musical-about-something-ridiculous-and-kind-of-gory-but-it's-actually-hilarious-and-sweet-and-heartbreaking kind of way. like my favourite musical ever, little shop of horrors. the music is actually really good, and the show itself is hilarious. the song "children, children" was perhaps the funniest scene in a play i've ever seen. it's amazing. definietly see it if you ever have a chance.
